Materials Accepted
• Oil or solvent-based paint, sealers, primers,
or coatings (aerosols or liquids), varnishes,
polyurethanes, shellacs, paint thinner, mineral
spirits, turpentine
• Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, caustic household
cleaners
• Pool chemicals, oils, grease
• Automotive fluids, motor oil, car batteries
• Adhesives, roof tar, driveway sealer
• Kerosene, gasoline, lighter fluid, mercury

Materials NOT Accepted
• Latex paint
• Explosives, gun powder, ammunition, flares
• Medical waste, pharmaceuticals, medicine, sharps
• Batteries, fluorescent bulbs, smoke detectors
• Tires
• Electronics, appliances
• Asbestos
• Business or commercial waste

Dried-out paint cans, empty aerosol cans and other empty containers can be placed in the regular trash for disposal. Empty motor oil and antifreeze jugs may have residue of the hazardous materials they held and should be placed in the trash, not recycling, for proper disposal.
