Welcome to the Village of Walton Hills

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the closest calendar week as National Police Week. This week-long observance pays special recognition to law-enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Please take a moment this week to acknowledge police officers.

Asphalt paving work will be taking place on Alexnder Road between the westerly Village limits and Dunham Road. This work will consist of completely removing the existing asphalt surface, and of replacing it with two layers of new asphalt. The work is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of May 20, 2024, weather permitting. It is expected that work will last for approximately three weeks.

The Village’s contractor for this resurfacing project is Karvo Paving of Stow, Ohio. During construction, the street will remain open to two-directional traffic, vehicles will be directed around the work zone by flag persons. Please proceed slowly through the construction area. Garbage and recyclable collections will continue to be on the normally scheduled day. This paving work will not interrupt mail service. We ask that residents, guests, and private contractors do not park on the side of the road during the construction period.

We realize that road construction is an inconvenience to our residents. Your patience and cooperation throughout this entire process is greatly appreciated. While we have tried to plan for every contingency, there are times when something unexpected occurs. Naturally, the Village will make every effort to rectify any issues that arise. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Joe Gigliotti of the Village Engineer’s office, at (440) 439-1999, or email him at
