Welcome to the Village of Walton Hills

DUNHAM Road Construction Update

Construction remains on schedule.

Please note that in the near future, the construction activity will shift to the east side of Dunham Road.  While traffic will continue to be restricted to southbound only, vehicles will need to drive on the west side (or the normal legal side) of Dunham Road.

The contractor on Dunham Road will soon begin installing new curbs and new aprons in front of existing driveways.  These would be homes on the west side of the road.  As such, some residents will be temporarily parking along the side of Ryan Drive, or in tree lawn areas on the west side of Dunham Road.  This will likely occur from time to time over the next week.  The exact timing is difficult to schedule in advance and the contractor will provide door hanger notifications, and attempt to personally notify residents, at least the day before such disruptions occur.

All Federal, State and Village of Walton Hills Income Tax returns will now be due on May 17, 2021.  This deadline was an extension granted by both the Federal Government and the State of Ohio.  You may continue to drop your W-2s and any other forms off in our white mailbox at Village Hall if you would like our Tax Administrator, Angela Revay, to prepare them and mail you back your copy.

Vaccination Eligibility Update

Beginning March 19, 2021 vaccine eligibility will be expanded for phases 1E and 2C. Phase 1E includes those with cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease, and obesity. Phase 2C extends eligibility to Ohioans 40 and older.

Beginning March 29, 2021, eligibility will be expanded to all Ohioans ages 16 and older. FDA emergency use authorization only allows those ages 16 and 17 to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

To book an appointment at the Wolstein Center Mass Vaccination Clinic or to find appointment information on providers offering the vaccine, visit gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov, or call 1-833-427-5634.  The Wolstein Center Mass Vaccination Clinic will operate seven days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM and will offer first doses of the Pfizer vaccine during the first three weeks of operations. Those that are vaccinated during that time frame will be guaranteed the second dose during the fourth, fifth and sixth weeks of the clinic. The one-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be offered at the site during the seventh and eighth weeks. There is free parking available near the Wolstein Center.

Dunham Road Reconstruction Project Update
Construction on the Dunham Road Reconstruction Project is scheduled to begin on 01-04-2021, and work is scheduled to be completed on 06-11-2021. Fabrizi Trucking and Paving, Inc. will be the contractor performing this work. The existing pavement will be reconstructed to provide a new driving surface. Also, the pavement will be widened to accommodate new bike lanes in each direction. When complete, the bike lanes will connect Dunham Park in Maple Heights to the existing bike lanes on Tinkers Creek Road, which leads to the popular Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail. This work will take place on Dunham Road (between Turney Road and Gorge Parkway), as well as a small part of Tinkers Creek Road within the Village of Walton Hills. During the construction period, Dunham Road will be restricted to southbound traffic only. All northbound traffic will be required to use the signed detour route.
